Chris Pine the silver fox has legs for days as he steps out in TINY shorts in autumnal Los Angeles

Chris Pine the silver fox had legs for days when he surfaced in Los Angeles during a relatively cool autumnal Friday this week.

The 43-year-old could be seen modeling a tiny, clinging pair of short shorts that showed off his shapely pins to full advantage.

He stayed well-prepared for a potential drop in temperatures by bundling up in a canary yellow hoodie, which he pulled up over his head.

However the hood slid back a bit to reveal his distinguished salt-and-pepper pompadour, which matched his grey-flecked beard.

His outing comes a month after the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his directorial debut Poolman, a comedic mystery.

The movie was savaged by the critics after its screening, to the point it currently holds a dismal 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

;Not only the worst film I saw during the fall festival season but would likely be one of the worst films in any year it came out,’ wrote Variety critic Owen Gleiberman.

Chris leads the cast of the picture amid a cast that includes Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh and DeWanda Wise.

Chris plays Darren, an apartment complex pool man with a philosophical streak, Annette and Danny feature as his neighbors.

Eventually Darren becomes aware of a water heist and is launched into a series of film noir misadventures that include a femme fatale.

In addition to directing and starring in the movie, Chris is also co-writing it with Ian Gotler, who acted with him in a couple of short films in 2014.

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is producing alongside Chris and Ian as well as Stacey Sher, who has been a producer on multiple Quentin Tarantino films.

Chris’ upcoming releases also include Wish, a Disney animated musical fantasy that has one of the same co-directors as Frozen.
