The actor, 43, posed with one arm wrapped around the self-help book author, 33, as they hit the red carpet with the likes of Marvel’s Brie Larson and rocker Pete Wentz.
Chris voices the iconic plumber Mario in the highly-anticipated Super Mario Bros. Movie, which will hit theaters on April 7.
The Jurassic World star’s casting as the beloved character sparked controversy last year over the fact that he, unlike Mario, is not of Italian heritage.
For the grand opening, Chris kept it casual-cool in a tan suede jacket over a floral print button-up shirt.
