Chrissy Teigen and John Legend get new dog: ‘She is perfectly sweet and adorable’

Chrissy Teigen on Wednesday took to Instagram to show off a new dog she and husband John Legend have gotten.

Teigen, 36, thanked her friends, celeb hairstylist Jen Atkin and photographer Mike Rosenthal ‘for introducing us to this little bug.

‘She is perfectly sweet and adorable and I *think* perhaps the best cuddler in our whole house,’ Teigen said, referencing her daughter Luna Simone, five, who she shares with the Grammy-winning artist, along with son Miles Theodore, three.

‘She came to us with the job of protecting little luna from bed monsters and I’m happy to report there has not been a single one seen (heard? no idea) since her arrival!’ Teigen said. ‘Give this girl a raiiiiise honey! welcome to the family, tiny little pebbles!’

Teigen thanked the nonprofit organization Paw Works ‘for trusting us with her,’ adding, ‘Thank you for all you do!’

Teigen received supportive messages on the new acquisition from Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, celeb chef Priyanka Naik and comic Whitney Cummings. 

Teigen earlier Wednesday said in the social media site that she’s thriving after six months with ‘no alcohol.’

She added, ‘Honestly kind of sucks saying it because even though I don’t ever crave it now, time has not exactly flown by haha. I prob won’t be excited til a larger milestone like at leasssst five years, and sometimes I don’t even know if I necessarily won’t ever drink again?’

Teigen said she has ‘endless energy,’ ‘way less anxiety’ and is happier and ‘more present than ever’ amid the teetotaling approach.

‘I look forward to having my full body reset after one year,’ she said, ‘then reevaluating to see my new hopes and wishes for the future! Let’s goooo.’
