She’s enjoyed the finer things in life with a stellar career as a supermodel.
But things weren’t so easy for Chrissy Teigen when she embarked into the world of fashion nearly a decade ago, according to InStyle.
The 32-year-old stunner sat down with Revolve and celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin to reveal some of the hardships faced during her career’s ascent into stardom.

‘I remember living in Miami in this apartment with five other young models, and it was two bedroom and we were each paying like $4,000 a piece,’ she said. ‘Looking back it doesn’t make any sense, but for me it was so cool that an agency wanted to move me to Miami.’
The mother-of-one who is pregnant with her second child with husband John Legend said her new lifestyle at the time ‘felt glamorous, and it felt cool.’
‘I didn’t realize how many people pull fast ones on you and I would have definitely gotten a business manager a lot earlier as a young person,’ she revealed.

‘When I started out in the modeling world I was bouncing around from agency to agency. I thought it was cool that agents wanted me and that I could get work,’ Teigen shared.
Her eagerness to be in the industry at any cost may have backfired at times.
‘I think when you’re young and excited to begin that world you don’t really think that anyone has any negative intentions,’ Chrissy said. ‘You just get so excited, you’ll do anything. You’ll do all the favors.’

The cookbook author did offer a few words to live by at the end of the chat, nothing that it’s important to ‘be humble.’
‘The world is really small,’ she shared. ‘Word travels so fast with how you treat people. How speak to people. Little things go a really long way.’
