Christian Horner cut a relaxed figure as he arrived at the Bahrain International Circuit for the opening Grand Prix of the 2024 season as controversy surrounds the Red Bull team principle.
Horner has been at the centre of an ‘inappropriate’ text scandal saga, having been cleared following an internal investigation, what appeared intimate WhatsApp exchanges with a female colleague were sent to Formula One’s most influential figures on Thursday.
He has denied any wrongdoing and has been present as the team begin the defence of the two world titles they clinched in dominant fashion last season.
According to Sky Sports, Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali and FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem met on Friday to discuss the issue which has engulfed F1.
Ben Sulayem admitted that the controversy surrounding Red Bull team principle is ‘damaging the sport’.
