Post-pandemic, revenge dressing was all around at the swanky East Village hotel known for its chic aesthetic and celeb clientele.

The new collection stays true to the iconic silhouettes that have become brand signatures, while also offering bold, vibrant pieces with dramatic details.

‘We’re known for our essential pieces – jean, t-shirt, blazer and blouse – but our business is about flowering. We’ve opened up so many categories and this is really what it’s about. It’s time for the women to have the moment.’

Models posed up a storm in their beautifully crafted pieces that included everything from a plaid trench coat to disco pants and a floor-length gown.

‘I’m dressing her from the minute she wakes up to the minute she wakes back up the next morning,’ said Tara.

‘It’s about power. There is something to be said about walking out your door and having that a-ha moment.’

For VP of RTW Design, Yuchin Mao, it’s all about a great blazer.

‘You can wear whatever underneath if you have a great fitting blazer,’ she said.

Special for the season is the shape of the shoulder. ‘We want to make sure that she is uplifted from head to toe. The pieces are wild, they can be dressed up or dressed down, but everything goes back to denim.’

L’AGENCE’s foundation has always been denim and it still is. Fall 23 is a collection of mix-and-match separates that can take you from day to night, without having to give up your trusted blue jeans.

On every chair in the room sat a program with an iconic photo of Audrey Hepburn gracing the cover, with a short inside message that read “Welcome to Audrey Hepburn’s rose garden at midnight.”

And that’s exactly what guests like Lindsay Lohan (who was there cheering on model siblings Aliana and Dakota Lohan), Julia Stiles and Quinta Brunson got.

Coco Rocha was the first model to hit the white catwalk wearing a printed pantsuit featuring dramatic ruffle sleeves, accessorized with an Audrey Hepburn-style hat and sky-high stilettos

Coco Rocha took to the rose-lined runway wearing a black-and-white printed pantsuit featuring dramatic ruffle sleeves, and accessorized with an Audrey Hepburn-style hat and sky-high stilettos.

Following Coco models displayed fashions influenced by the ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’ star but modernized for today’s woman.

Sleek silhouettes were punctuated with flower appliques, a hero piece in the collection being a sheer floor-length gown adorned with oversized blooms.

Many looks could clearly be tied back to the muse, while others – like the vibrant bandeau tops and low-slung skirts – channeled the icon in more subtle ways.

But much like seasons passed, the award-winning designer showed off his abilities to dress women of all shapes and sizes with plus-sized models walking the show.
