Christian Wilkins has revealed how he deals with social media trolls.

The aspiring actor, who is the son of Nine’s long-serving entertainment editor Richard Wilkins, explained he responds to criticism by showing a lack of interest in their cruel comments.

‘I like to go back with indifference or agreeing,’ Christian, 28, said on Nova’s Separate Bathrooms podcast.

‘One time someone told me I should audition for the muppets because I had a big nose so I tagged my manager and told him he was going to get fired because this man is trying to get me jobs.’

Despite his sense of humour, Christian admitted it’s difficult when trolls say cruel things about his family.

‘When they attack your family it does hurt much more,’ he said.

It comes after Christian showed off another one of his edgy ensembles as he partied in Los Angeles on Sunday.

He looked super chic in a bandana shirt and blue jeans as he attended an ‘Xmas in July’ event.

Christian completed his look with a matching hair bandana and wore sunglasses as he posed for the camera.

‘Put a shrimp on the barbie… thank you for the most spectacular Xmas in July,’ he captioned the images.

Christian recently revealed he is stepping out from his father’s shadow and finding his own fame.

He said in a recent issue of Stellar magazine he’s no longer living in the shadow of his father.

‘I’m so close with my dad, but it’s also stepping out from his shadow,’ he told the magazine.

‘I think people look at me and are like, “Oh, there actually is a place for him as an individual”.

‘It’s not just being someone’s son. I have something to provide for myself and I think that is really exciting. I find that very rewarding.’

In September, Australia’s ‘ultimate nepo babies‘ were revealed as the country’s most privileged offspring were named.

Christian was one of those young and upcoming stars who many claim got where they are because of their famous parents.

According to a Reddit thread that chimed in on who they believe are the biggest local nepo babies, Christian is the ultimate nepo baby ‘by a mile’.

The fashionista made a name for himself walking red carpets with his father and has worked as an actor in the series Eden.

Considered one of Australia’s fastest growing influencers, Christian landed a desk job at Channel Nine straight out of school.

He now has over 45,900 followers on Instagram and brand deals with Golden Gaytime, Vida Glow, Mecca and Sunglass Hut.
