Christine Quinn ‘planning on filing for divorce’ from husband Christian Richard – after his arrest for assault with a deadly weapon

Christine Quinn is reportedly ‘planning’ to end her marriage of nearly five years with husband Christian Richard.

‘Christine Quinn is planning on leaving Christian,’ a source told Us Weekly. ‘She’s planning on filing for divorce.’

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Quinn for comment.

It comes after Richard, 45, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon on Tuesday after he threw a bag of glass at his wife, 35, but struck their toddler son.

The tech millionaire’s bond was set at $30,000 and Quinn took out a weeklong emergency protective order against him.

He was released shortly after and on Wednesday night made his way back to his and Quinn’s Hollywood Hills estate, where police arrested him for the second time.

An LAPD spokesperson told DailyMail.com the cops arrived at the house ‘at 10:48 pm and the suspect was arrested for violating the restraining order that was obtained the day prior. He posted bond of $30,000 and has a court date set for 4/11.’

Richard posted his second $30,000 bond just hours after the arrest, at around 4:45am on Thursday, according to LA County Sheriff’s records.

During the day on Wednesday, police swept the couple’s estate with their guns drawn, performing what an LAPD spokesperson described as a ‘building search’ to make certain the home was safe. They ultimately determined there ‘was no issue.’

Quinn and her son were purportedly not on the property but are currently staying in a separate ‘safe location,’ according to a Page Six insider.

In usual cases, building searches take place because someone has called the police to check on the potential presence of active threats in a particular location.

A source has claimed that in this instance, Quinn was not the person who summoned the authorities to her house.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness to the building search alleged that the cops could be heard saying: ‘Come out with your hands up.’

By Wednesday night, Richard had been released and the police were seen arriving again at his and Quinn’s house in the Hollywood Hills.

Pictures obtained by DailyMail.com show an officer emerging from a police SUV that was parked outside the property.

Richard, who wed the ex Selling Sunset star in 2019, was seen Tuesday afternoon being led away from his house in handcuffs by officers while barefoot and clad in only a bathrobe after the incident involving the couple’s only child Christian Georges Dumontet, two.

The retired tech entrepreneur looked somber as he was spoken to by officers on the curb outside his Hollywood Hills home – before he was placed in a police car.

Multiple police cars were also seen parked outside the couple’s home. Quinn was not seen at the time of the arrest.

LAPD spokesman Jeff Lee told DailyMail.com: ‘A victim and a suspect were involved in a domestic dispute when the suspect threw a bag at the victim with a glass bottle inside of it. It missed the victim, but that object struck a child.

‘The suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.’

TMZ has confirmed Christian and Christine’s son was transported to the hospital on Tuesday via ambulance with Christine by his side.

The publication reports Quinn was offered an emergency protective order against Richard which she accepted and which will be in effect for seven days.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Quinn for comment.

Christine and Christian met through a mutual friend before he proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

The reality star told Bustle in 2020 about their first date: ‘Him and I had an amazing steak dinner and got to know each other, and we just hit it off right away.

‘He’s everything that I ever wanted,’ she said. ‘And then [my friend’s] like, “Also, he’s looking for a house,” and I was like: double bonus.’

The couple tied the knot in December 2019 in an unconventional gothic winter wonderland-themed wedding at a downtown Los Angeles cathedral.

‘I’ve never conformed to the status quo or societal expectations,’ she said.

On the topic of the theme, Quinn told People about foregoing a typical white wedding dress, ‘I’ve always enjoyed being bold, different, and trendsetting. I’ve always wanted to get married in a black wedding dress, and I’m so happy that my dream came true.’

The star previously revealed that she was ‘really, really sick on her wedding day’ and has since discovered she had coronavirus.

Talking to Goss Chats, she said: ‘I was really, really sick on my wedding day. I actually had, which I now know, was corona.’

‘I got really sick in late December and we were travelling. I was sick for about a month when we were filming.

‘I couldn’t even have a bachelorette party, I was so bummed about that. That time was such a high but a low at the same time.’

Richard had a successful career in software engineering and attending prestigious university MIT.

He created American online food ordering service Foodler which he later sold to competitor GrubHub in 2017 for a $51 million – allowing him to retire aged just 38.

He is worth $20million while Christine is worth $2million.

Christine left Selling Sunset at the end of season five, a move her former boss Jason Oppenheim, 45, agreed with.

Throughout the first five seasons, viewers watched as Quinn sold luxurious and exclusive homes and properties as well as getting involved in drama with her costars.

‘I think people were tired of watching that dynamic continue season after season,’ Oppenheim told Page Six.

‘So I think, if anything, it’s provided a breath of fresh air for the office and for the show.’

In her last season Christine was accused of trying to bribe a client.

And although she denied allegations, Oppenheim just wants to leave the drama and controversy behind.

‘It’s not the type of drama that I enjoyed being a professional real estate broker,’ he said.

He added: ‘I wasn’t happy with the types of issues being brought to my attention. I think it ran its course.’
