‘The fireworks just went rogue and started shooting into the audience,’ Rachael Jackson who witness the drama unfold told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I was up the front with my young son and we just heard hundreds of kids and adults screaming and running for their lives.’

She said fireworks also started launching into a nearby nursing home across the street.

‘It’s a miracle nobody was killed,’ she said.

Another woman took to social media in the aftermath revealing that her daughter is now ‘traumatised’ by her harrowing experience.

‘My daughter was hit tonight and is still shaking from a state of shock!’ the mother said.

‘She’s got small bullet burns on her legs (so very minor in comparison) but she’s completely traumatised from what she’s seen!’

Police are now investigating the matter and SafeWork NSW have been notified.
