Gorska, of Vauxhall, south London, admitted supplying cocaine and was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Thursday
An manageress at a top City boozer has been jailed for supplying customers with cocaine by hiding the drugs in drinks menus.
Justyna Gorska, 34, was jailed for 28 months for supplying the Class A drugs whenever they ordered a specific drink off the menu.
Gorska, of Vauxhall, south London, admitted supplying cocaine and was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
The court heard how, between the June 20 and August 16, Gorska exploited her position as assistant general manager of Dion Bar near St Paul’s Churchyard, in central London.
She supplied customers with cocaine on six separate occasions, the court was told.
Detective Constable Brendan Kennedy from the City of London Police said: ‘We know the vast majority of licensed premises within the Square Mile are owned and operated by fully law-abiding staff and management who have close relationships with our City of London Police licensing team.
‘Gorska however clearly believed that the rules did not apply to her, and her sentence is proof that our dedicated Major Crime Team will identify any such offenders and we will use a range of tactics to stop them and bring them to justice.
‘The sale and supply of illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere within the City, including within pubs and bars, and the City of London Police will seek to prosecute anybody involved in this criminality.’
The assistant bar manager would hide wraps of cocaine in menus and hand them over to customers at the central London bar
When Gorska was arrested she denied being a drug dealer and said they were supplied to her by a friend
During one night, Gorska supplied two wraps of cocaine to buyers, charging them £50 per wrap, as she served them drinks.
She explained that she would bring them a menu and they were instructed to place their money inside the menu.
She then removed the menu and returned with the wraps, which were later found to be cocaine.
The same ‘menu’ tactic was employed by Gorska again on five more occasions throughout the summer.
When arrested, Gorska was found to have a single wrap of cocaine concealed in her bra which she voluntarily handed over.
She admitted the offences and acknowledged that what she had done was wrong – but denied being a drug dealer, stating only that the drugs were supplied to her by a friend.
