She’s the Married at First Sight star who recently opened-up about her heart-breaking battle with her weight.
And usually a trip to the dentist is dreaded by us all, but on Friday, you couldn’t wipe the smile off reality star Clare Verrall’s face.
Taking to Instagram, Melbourne-based Clare, 34, who recently spoke of rebuilding her health and fitness, was excited about her first ever ‘in chair,’ whitening experience.
New beginnings: Married at First Sight single Clare Verall, 34, has taken to Instagram to share a snap of her first whitening experience, after it was revealed by Daily Mail that the former reality star gained 44kg after leaving the show
Dressed casually, the outspoken reality star can be seen lying down on the dentist’s chair, with her trademark blonde hair splayed over the top of the seat.
Looking relaxed, her face is mostly hidden by protective sunglasses, however, with the unmistakable vibrant blue illumination of the whitening tool can clearly be seen in the frame.
‘First ever in chair whitening experience at the awesome @gorgeoussmilesdenistry,’ she started.
‘Amazingly white teeth’: The Channel Nine reality show star seemed very happy with the results, taking to social media to say, ‘I think I just blinded everyone on the tram’
Before continuing,’Feel like the mouthwidener/LED light/sexy sunglasses combo works for me.’
Adding a second short clip, the outspoken blonde said,’I think I just blinded everyone on the tram with my new, amazingly white teeth!! Thanks so much,’ adding their was no sensitivity or pain.
The cosmetic procedure comes after photos surfaced of the dog rescue advocate looking different from her MAFS days – with the contestant confirming to Daily Mail Australia she gained 44kg and was ‘too embarassed,’ to leave the house.
Fuller figure: The MAFS star was almost unrecognisable after the weight gain, which she has said is a result of a poor diet and post traumatic stress disorder
‘I went from 70kg to 114kg,’ Clare exclusively revealed.
The photos show the Melbourne local displaying a fuller figure dressed in black jeans and a T-shirt while walking her dog.
‘I have been avoiding going out or attending any events for the past year as I am very embarrassed by how out of control my weight has become,’ she said.
‘My body went into fight or flight mode’: The reality-show-turned-dog-advocate has said a vicious attack left her struggling
‘I have turned down events, would hide behind my friends in any photos, and avoided posting photos of myself on Instagram unless they were throwback photos.’
But Clare clarified there were several reasons behind her weight gain, including her ongoing struggle with PTSD, which she has spoken about in the past.
‘My body went into fight or flight mode,’ Clare spilled.
Getting to it: Outspoken Clare has said she’s working her health and fitness, and is already down to 99kg
‘Your brain tells your body to store every ounce of fat as it thinks you are on ‘survivor’ when in reality I was in bed eating poorly.’
She added: ‘It was also due to my back injury, stress, inability to exercise and poor food choices.’
In the past, Clare has spoken candidly about the harrowing experience that led to her living with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Star turn: Clare was matched with TV husband Jono Pitman on the television show, however, things didn’t work out for the pair
In April 2015, she was walking her dog Dutchy near her home in Prahran, Melbourne, when a man jumped out and attacked her.
Clare was left with a black eye, a broken nose and a broken toe, but was able to knee her attacker in the groin and kick him before she fled.
‘I was walking my dog about two streets down from where I live, and it’s on the way to the dog park I go to every day,’ Clare told Daily Mail Australia after the incident.
‘I have turned down events’: The dating show star said she would only post throwback photographs of herself
