There must be a problem for you if you are at Town Hall 10 or above with collecting enough Elixir for your upgrades. Especially, TH11, TH12 has a lot of difficulties to upgrade the Grand Warden and new levels for the troops. There were many clash of clans tricks and hacks, but this one is legit.
Along with every upgrade for your troops and every Army Camp you unlock, the cost of the army gets higher and higher, resulting in lower profits in Elixir. Including Grand Warden, Siege Machines as well as Army Camps and Lab Upgrade, don’t come in less Elixir. So, I made this guide to help you farm the required Elixir.
Basics of Elixir Farming:
So, let’s start with some nifty tips before telling you the strategies for the farming elixir.
I am aware of a lot of Town Hall 11+ farms in Crystal League which is perfectly fine if you are going for Gold or Dark Elixir- or even Elixir. However, it is a little different to farm, as you always need at least 200,000 Elixir to train the army, no matter, if you are farming with Goblin Knife or any other cheap composition. I recommend to go up to Champions League as you know that a big part of your profit of Elixir comes from the League Bonus and, also the Star Bonus, and they both are connected to the league you are in.
I am farming in Titan League, and you can see that League bonus is ultimately making up for my army cost and all the resources I find in bases makes my net profit.
The star bonus also, along with League bonus, comes in daily with a great extra 850,000 elixir, and that lets me farm new 6-10M Elixir per week, just by farming in the Titan League instead of Crystal league as a TH12. Thus, it means if you are at Town Hall 11, you must go to the Champions League to find suitable bases to attack. Only you need to get 70% destruction rate, and you can have all your army costs back to your storages and which means that it is something you can get against pretty must all the bases.
I am aware of many people who love to farm in lower leagues to get the strong bases offering 1 million as a loot. But, you need to see that when you go for Elixir, you need to cover troops cost and when you get a base offering 300K in Elixir (which is pretty good), you will only make net 100K profit because the league bonus doesn’t cover your army costs. This is purely my opinion as I am playing Clash of Clans for many years.
Attacking And Army tips for Farming Elixir:
Firstly, your army is the second important thing you need to adapt when you require Elixir. There are a lot of useful explanations as to why your army should be cheap in costs when you are farming Elixir. So, the only thing you can do is to adapt it, so you use more dark Elixir and get the expenses refunded in regular Elixir. By this, I do not mean to say that your army should only cost dark Elixir, but I am saying that you can quickly adapt troops.
Let’s have a look at my army adaption:
With this same army and attacking strategy, you can get 70,000 elixirs by taking 700 dark elixir, which makes this adaption, a must-try if you want to get Elixir. Let’s assume that you make four attacks per days, which means you will save 2M Elixir without changing a single habit, or style of attacking per week. Also, you can go even further by using more Hast Spells and Minions. With this army adaption, you can change any army easily.
Attacking Strategies for Farming Elixir:
I use these two attacking strategies to farm a right amount of Elixir:
- #1. Farming with LavaLoonian
- #2. 3 Star Attacking for BoWitch
I, personally use LavaLoonian, as with this you can also use this, while your heroes are in for an upgrade, because it is not dependant on the Queen Walk, but still you can get the 70% 1-Star and 2-Star needed with a nice net profit of Elixir. BoWitch is a little less expensive in Elixir, and most of you who use Bowlers can use this method to get lots of Elixir.
Conclusion:
Farming Elixir is a work of patience, especially when you are just upgraded to a new town hall, and see many new kinds of stuff to enhance while still paying for your army. I recommend you to make a priority list, a list of what you want to improve at the earliest with your Elixir, as it’s not possible to farm millions of Elixir very fast-I like to keep one elixir upgrade and one lab research active.
