The gloomy weather will clear just in time for Monday’s public holiday with most of Australia predicted to be sunny.
A cold front from Western Australia causing rain is not predicted to hit the eastern states until later in the week.
Brisbane is predicted to reach a sunny 23C on Monday, while Darwin will be a warm 32C for the Queen’s birthday holiday.
Sydneysiders will experience a break from the dreary cold weather, but light showers during the day may spoil the party.

Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Ronik Kumar told Daily Mail Australia a cold front impacting southern Western Australia will bring light showers to Perth and Adelaide tomorrow.

‘Most of the main centres of Australia will be sunny,’ Mr Kumar said.
‘Sydney will have light showers from the onshore winds intermittently during the day.
He predicted the cold front would reach the Victorian border by Monday night, but would not reach Melbourne until Tuesday.

A cold front hitting southern Western Australia will bring light showers to Perth and Adelaide. Western Victoria may experience rain, but showers are not predicted to hit Melbourne unti Tuesday.
‘Showers will increase in Adelaide during the day with the front predicted to hit late Monday morning,’ he said.
He said Adelaide would receive up to 10mm of rain.
Canberra will be a frosty 1 C in the morning but skies will clear during the day.
