Clementine Ford accuses MAFS’s Davina of ‘gaslighting’

She told her husband Ryan Gallagher to ‘go f**k himself’ in an explosive argument before taking advantage of every opportunity to badmouth him at Married At First Sight’s first dinner party.

And in the wake of Davina Rankin’s behaviour on Thursday night’s episode, viewers have slammed the Instagram model for the degrading way she treated her husband.

Leading the charge of criticisms was prominent feminist Clementine Ford, who accused the 26-year-old of ‘gaslighting’ Ryan with her ‘mean’ and ‘ruthless’ actions.

‘Davina is the worst. She is totally gaslighting this poor guy,’ Clementine tweeted, before later adding: ‘She’s terrible. Mean and ruthless.’

Davina had caused a stir at the dinner party after telling the other guests about her sex life with Ryan.

She also left a bad taste in the couples’ mouths by criticising Ryan behind his back while still being affectionate with him at the dinner table.

‘He’s like your mate but when you get too drunk you end up sleeping with him,’ Davina said at one point.

She later complained:  ‘I saw him, he was tall and handsome…  and then he opened his mouth. [It was] horrendous. I hated him for like the first hour.’ 

Furthering incensing fans was Davina’s blatant attempts to flirt with ‘alpha male’ Dean, despite Ryan sitting right beside her.

Fans of the show were unimpressed by conduct towards her partner and took to social media to slam the brunette.

‘Very classy Davina! Not only speaking openly of your sexual relationship with strangers but to talk down your husband. Clearly nothing sacred to her! Trashy,’ one person tweeted, adding a ‘thumbs down’ emoji.

Another wrote: ‘Total disrespect from Davina towards her bloke and to the couple opposite. Immaturity to the max. I hope her parents aren’t watching, they’d be cringing for sure at her behaviour.’

Others echoed the view that the reality TV contestant had little respect for Ryan and slung insults at her while offering their opinions.

‘Davina this is why you are single… which is totes fine.. but stay single. With that lack of respect for your partner, you will leave this with nothing but what you came into it for… a few more Instagram followers. Vapid, disappointing human,’ one tweet. 

One fan wasn’t holding back and raged: ‘Davina seriously disgraceful. WOW and all on national television.’

Meanwhile, another viewer opined Davina was only on the show for exposure and not to find love. 

‘Davina wants nothing but camera time. How did the experts not see through that? She is mentally abusive,’ the tweet read.
