Clothing store recalls baby jackets over choking fears

Parents who have bought a pink or gray quilted jacket from OshKosh B’gosh between August 20 and September 15 are being urged to return them

Kids clothing store OshKosh B’gosh has recalled tens of thousands of baby’s jackets over fears they could be a choking hazard.

Parents who have bought a pink or gray quilted jacket from OshKosh B’gosh between August 20 and September 15 are being urged to return them to store immediately for a full refund.

The store, which is based in Wisconsin, announced the recall of 38,000 after Baby B’gosh jackets after a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission report found that the coats’ snaps could come off and pose a choking hazard.

OshKosh has received three reports of snaps detaching – and in one case, a child put the snap in her mouth.

The coats were sold by OshKosh and by Bon-Ton, Kohl’s, Fred Meyer and other department stores around the country for $35 to $40. Another 5,00 that were sold in Canada are also being recalled.

Anyone who bought a faulty jacked can return them to any OshKosh store for a full refund on an OshKosh gift card.

The firm has since apologized ‘for any inconvenience this may have caused our consumers and appreciate their understanding in this matter.’

Only certain style numbers are affected. The number can be found on the front of the tag sewn into the inside of the affected coats
