CNN guest shocks Brooke Baldwin into cutting interview

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin ended her segment on Friday abruptly after Fox Sports Radio host Clay Travis made ‘sexist’ remarks during a segment about the political controversy at ESPN.

In a discussion about the network’s decision to keep SC6 anchor Jemele Hill after she called President Donald Trump a ‘white supremacist, the conservative critic of ESPN said he believed ‘in only two things completely: the First Amendment and boobs.’

Both Baldwin and ESPN’s Keith Reed were stunned with the former cutting Travis off and asking him to repeat himself.

‘I just want to make sure I heard you correctly as a woman anchoring this show,’ she said.

‘What did you just say? You believe in the First Amendment and B-double-O-B-S?’

Travis responded and said: ‘Boobs. Two things that have only never let me down in this entire country’s history: the First Amendment and boobs.’

As Reed then called Travis out for his comments, baffled Baldwin still needed clarification as to what exactly was being said, still in disbelief by what she heard.

Baldwin added: 'Why would you even say that live on national television and with a female host? Why would you even go there?'

‘I said boobs,’ he said.

‘I believe completely in the First Amendment and in boobs. Those are the only two things I believe 100% in this country.’

Baldwin then added: ‘Why would you even say that live on national television and with a female host? Why would you even go there?’

She would go on to cut both mics and ended the segment early, adding that with it being live she had to gather herself before she was able to act quickly.

The three parties then took to social media to voice their opinions on the debacle.

Reed posted on Instagram a photo of his face in disbelief and said: 'Just wow. That segment on @cnn went absolutely left. @brookebcnn , so sorry you had to put up with that. And I still #standwithjemele'

Baldwin tweeted her response to the segment and said: 'That was... I just... it was one of those thought bubbles "did he actually say that on MY SHOW?!" Note to men -- that is never okay. #smh'

Travis, on the other hand, seemed proud of his remarks, bragging about CNN asking him back and even going so far to create a poll about which people like more: boobs or the First Amendment

Last month, Travis made incendiary comments saying ESPN had reassigned a play-by-play announcer named Robert Lee who was scheduled to call a college football game in Charlottesville.

A spokesperson from CNN said that Travis would not be invited back on the air, according to the Washington Post.
