Coldplay have announced extra concert dates for their upcoming Australian tour.
On Wednesday, the British band revealed they will play additional shows in Sydney and Melbourne in response to the overwhelming demand witnessed during Wednesday’s pre-sale.
This decision makes the fourth concert the final one in Melbourne for this tour.
The excitement doesn’t end in Melbourne, as Coldplay is also set to captivate audiences in Sydney, with performances scheduled for Wednesday November 6 and November 7 at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
The band then moves to New Zealand, with a headline show at Auckland’s Eden Park on Wednesday, November 13, and an added show on Friday, November 15, again due to the overwhelming demand.

It comes after fans left baffled while trying to register for tickets for the band’s Sydney and Melbourne shows during their upcoming tour.
Many received emails confirming they have been allocated access to tickets in a different state to the one they signed up for.
‘I only signed up for Coldplay in Sydney but got Melbourne. I’ve booked a hotel for Sydney as well,’ one person shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
A second questioned: ‘Anyone else who signed up for Sydney Coldplay presale get Melbourne confirmation instead?’
‘I, as well as many others, signed up for the presale in Sydney, but received an email for the Melbourne dates. Can you confirm if this is an error/glitch and will we be able to receive the correct codes for presale?’ a third asked Ticketek.

They’ll play Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 30 and 31, and Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 6 and 7, before heading to Auckland.
Coldplay performed two very special shows in Perth at Optus Stadium on the 18th and 19th of November.
Aussie fans have been registering their interest in presale tickets for Coldplay’s 2024 Music of the Spheres world tour. But many are receiving emails confirming they have been allocated access to tickets in a different state to the one they signed up for
Both concerts were sold out – with 120,000 tickets sold and the band looking at a return of around £12million (AUD $22million).
Coldplay fans had been promised a ‘spectacular show’ which will be ‘bursting with lasers, fireworks and LED wristbands’.
The beloved group last performed in Australia in 2016, and these concerts were their first in the WA capital since February 2009.
