Chris Martin stunned onlookers at Sydney Airport on Monday when he performed one bizarre act before boarding a private jet to New Zealand.
The Coldplay frontman, 47, was all smiles as he spoke with fans in an impromptu meet and greet after he arrived.
But moments before he stepped onto the plane, the English rocker could be seen getting down on his hands and knees to kiss the tarmac.
Stunned by the move, airport workers watched on as the award-winning artist pressed his lips to the dirty ground before boarding his plane to Auckland.
Garbed in a long-sleeved white shirt and black cargo slacks, the Fix You hitmaker didn’t seem to mind getting a bit dirty as he performed his pre-flight act.
It seems kissing the tarmac before he flies and when he lands has become a common ritual for the musician.
He was also spotted pecking the ground when he landed in Malaysia last November ahead of his concert in the Southeast Asian country.
Chris had the same entrance in Indonesia during his previous tour.
More to come.
