During a conversation about his new album, Moon Music, Chris also revealed the sweet role his children played in creating the band’s new album.
The frontman, 47, appeared on the programme with the band to promote their new music and perform some of their hits live on air from New York City.
While chatting in between songs, American broadcaster Hoda said to Chris: ‘So this album is your tenth album, which everyone is so excited to listen to.

‘Is it true that you said after your twelfth album that would be the last album that you guys would make?’
The hitmaker admitted: ‘Yes, that’s true,’ which earned a shocked gasp from both the hosts and the audience.
‘We all object! Why is that?’ exclaimed Hoda, who recently announced that she’s stepping down from her role as co-anchor next year.
Opting for a cheeky response, Chris joked: ‘Aren’t you retiring soon too?,’ which saw the crowd gasp and the hosts burst into laughter.
Continuing the joke, he quipped: ‘I thought we had a deal that we were gonna go into business together making cookies. Are you backing out? I’m stopping the band for you.’
‘I would never back out,’ responded Hoda, who seemed to enjoy the playful retirement joke.
