Humiliated Coleen Rooney fled to her parents’ home yesterday after a showdown with husband Wayne about his drink-drive arrest behind the wheel of another woman’s car.
Pregnant Coleen, who has been with her husband since they were 16 and stood by him when he was caught using prostitutes, is now said to be considering the future of their nine-year marriage.
The 31-year-old is also thought to be worried about the stress her husband’s alleged antics will have on their unborn baby – and fears their sons will be taunted about the controversy when they return to school this week.

A friend of the couple told The Mirror: ‘Coleen is massively concerned about the children, especially because they’re going back to school this week.
‘She’s worried about playground taunts because children are on the internet non-stop these days.’
The former England football captain’s wife, who is four months pregnant with their fourth child, reportedly screamed at him: ‘The world is laughing at me because of you.’
With her mother by her side, Coleen is said to have broken down, yelling: ‘How could you do this to me while I’m pregnant? How could you be so stupid?’

Last night, she and the couple’s sons remained at the home of her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin in Liverpool, leaving Rooney at their £6million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire.
She went there after confronting Everton striker Rooney, also 31, at the marital home on Saturday.
During the confrontation between Coleen and Rooney on Saturday, she is said to have demanded to know why he was driving a VW Beetle owned by party girl Laura Simpson, 29, after leaving a nightclub in the early hours of Friday.
She screamed: ‘Why did you get in that car? Why didn’t you get an Uber – or just put her in a taxi?’
A friend of Coleen told The Sun: ‘To say Coleen is spitting feathers and Wayne is in the doghouse is an understatement.
‘She’s furious he was with the girl and does not understand what he was doing, where they were going or why they were together.
‘She fears he’s either cheated or was planning to cheat – and is considering ending it all. It’s killing her thinking what would have happened if they had not been stopped by the police.
‘She does not understand why Wayne was in the car with her at all, let alone driving.
‘If he was so worried about her he could have just paid for her to get a taxi home and got one himself back to their home – which is in the opposite direction.’
The friend said Coleen was torn between giving her ‘contrite’ husband one last chance or filing for divorce, adding: ‘Coleen is a strong woman and knows she would be fine on her own if she ended it.
‘She is seriously considering divorce and their marriage is hanging by a thread.
‘But in her heart of hearts she does not want to split as she loves Wayne, and because they will soon have four children.
‘Wayne is being extremely contrite and insisting he did nothing wrong with Laura.
‘He is saying they were in a big group, and was trying to do the right thing and help her out because she was really drunk.
‘Coleen wants to believe him but is finding it difficult, particularly after reading what Laura has said.’
Rooney was photographed smiling next to fan Jack McIver in the Bubble Room bar in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Around four hours later Rooney was arrested
Rooney told friends that he fears his nine-year marriage may be over, according to The Sun.
A source said that Coleen had stayed calm for the sake of the children but that she was furious over what could have happened.
‘It’s playing on her mind what could have been if he hadn’t been arrested,’ the source said.
‘He is painting himself as this chivalrous figure who only got behind the wheel because he thought he was sober and wanted to make sure Laura got home safe.
‘But if Wayne wanted to help the girl out why didn’t he just pay for her cab? After all, he’s worth about £50million.
‘Coleen feels Wayne is lying to her. You can imagine how angry she is. He says there was no funny business but because of his track record she’s struggling to take him at his word.
‘They are both worried about the effect the stress of this might have on the baby.’

Former Manchester United striker Rooney left The Symposium nightclub in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with estate agent Miss Simpson at 1.30am on Friday.
They took a taxi to pick up her convertible parked less than a mile away.
Miss Simpson said Rooney drove because he was less intoxicated, but he was reportedly three times the drink-drive limit when police stopped the car.
Earlier in the evening, Miss Simpson claims Rooney, who was with former Manchester United teammate Wes Brown and other friends, had ogled her 32E breasts and asked if they were real.
She claims he said: ‘I’d like to get my hands on them.’
The pair are said to have kissed and cuddled – but Miss Simpson insisted things went no further.
Miss Simpson, a single mother of one, from Irlam, near Manchester, told MailOnline that she would have slept with Rooney if he had not been arrested.
The £40,000-a-year sales manager for a property developer said: ‘Was I going to spend the night with him? Yes, perhaps. We just wanted to be away from prying eyes.
‘That was clearly his intention – why else would we be driving off together? I was up for it and so was he until he got arrested for drink-driving. It spoilt the night!
‘I did nothing wrong. I’m single and having fun. I’m not a marriage-wrecker.’
Coleen is said to fear that had police not stopped the car, her husband could have cheated on her as he did in 2010 while she was expecting Kai.
At the time, Rooney had a threesome with escort workers Jenny Thompson and Helen Wood.
In 2004, Rooney – who was then 18 – reportedly paid for sex with a 48-year-old grandmother in a seedy Liverpool massage parlour.

Devout Roman Catholic Coleen has amassed £15million in her own right from fashion design, exercise DVDs and books – but could take half of Rooney’s estimated £140million fortune if they divorced.
He is already said to have been given a final warning by Coleen in May after he lost £500,000 in a casino, and over claims he cosied up to a woman in a Cheshire pub while Coleen was in Madrid.
Rooney’s arrest came after his group dined at the Piccolino restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on Thursday afternoon, then went drinking at the nearby Bubble Room bar, before moving on to The Symposium.
Rooney, who retired from international football last month, was released on bail on Friday afternoon after a night in the cells. He will appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on September 18 charged with drink-driving.
Miss Simpson was unavailable for comment yesterday, but in an interview with the Sun On Sunday, she said: ‘Wayne needs to explain why he sneaked out the back of a nightclub to get in a cab with me – and what he thought would happen when we got back to mine.’
