Coles shoppers furious over mum’s in-store act

Influencer mum is called out for risky act at Coles supermarket: ‘Exploiting children for a photo’

A social media influencer has been called out for putting her child on the top shelf of the cereal isle at a Coles store in Victoria.

The mother shared the image on her Instagram story, sparking a fiery backlash from Coles customers.

‘Could influencers stop doing this,’ one wrote on Facebook. Another shopper added: ‘If they fell off, Coles would be sued,’ while a third said she was ‘exploiting children for a photo’.

The influencer who shared the image regularly posts monetised fashion content featuring her daughters and has more than 22,000 followers.

On the Coles website, the supermarket says it has a designated safety strategy’ to protect customers, and urges them to ‘immediately report any activity, behaviour or product’ of concern.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Coles for comment.
