Colin Fassnidge makes a shocking remark about his My Kitchen Rules co-host Manu Feildel

My Kitchen Rules star Colin Fassnidge has taken a cheeky swipe at his co-star Manu Feildel.

The Irish chef, 51, has joked Manu, 50, would be his ‘kitchen b***h’ if the pair were to ever appear as contestants on a cooking show.

He also described the French cook as a piece of ‘butter’ during an interview with Perth Now on Monday.

Asked to describe himself and Manu as pantry food staples, the witty Irish-born chef replied he would be a ‘lemon’.

‘Sharp, sometimes a little bitter, and elevate the dish,’ he explained.

He then joked that Manu was ‘like butter’ because he ‘resembled’ the dairy product and ‘he likes a lot of it.’

Colin also added that if they ever ended up on a team in a cooking contest there would be no question as to who would be in charge.

‘[Manu would] be following me, I’d be the head chef, and he’d be my b****,’ he joked.

Colin and Manu have been known to share details of their friendship ever since the Dublin-born chef joined MKR in 2015.

The interview comes after Colin recently shared details of a recent mishap.

The fast-talking kitchen maestro escaped serious injury last month after falling into a sewer while filming a new TV show on location in Cambodia.

He was shooting night scenes for an episode of his Food Diary series when he fell through an open man hole cover.

Taking to his social media, the outspoken Irishman shared his misfortune with fans in a number of videos that showed he had gashed his knee in the accident.

The I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here veteran shared details that led to the mishap in his Instagram post.

One video, recorded by a crew member, shows the star preparing for filming with the caption: ‘This was five minutes before Colin Fassnidge fell into the sewer and became the grumpiest man on tour.’

A second video shows the star recovering and talking through how he fell into the sewer.

‘The producer said ‘go left’ but there was no man hole cover over [it] so I found s***,’ Colin said.

Meanwhile, his producer replied, joking: ‘Blame it on me again! I said to go left.’

The video also features a close up of Colin’s left leg, which appears to have suffered a gash and some bruising around the knee joint.

Colin also posted another story showing him riding in a bus after the accident with the caption: ‘When you fall down an open man hole into s*** and everyone thinks its funny.’

Colin recently joined the cast of Better Homes and Gardens for 2024.

He replaced outgoing chef and presenter ‘Fast Ed’ Halmagyi, who departed the Channel Seven lifestyle program after 20 years in 2023.

Colin will also return to Channel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules alongside Manu on September 9.
