College basketball coach offers bizarre explanation of how he broke his wrist

College basketball coach Shaheen Holloway delivered a strange response after showing up to a postgame press conference with a taped up wrist.

Holloway, who is currently in charge of Seton Hall, was coaching his side’s incredibly close season-opener against former team the Saint Peter’s Peacocks when he arrived to the presser with a wrap on his left hand.

‘I think I broke my wrist at halftime,’ Holloway told reporters.

When asked what happened that led to the break in his hand, he simply replied, ‘Coaching stuff’.

Holloway, a former Seton Hall player, had to have been livid with the results of the game – even though the Pirates came out on top in the end.

Despite leading at the half, Seton Hall ended up giving up their advantage to St. Peter’s – a small school in Jersey City, New Jersey that has less than 4,000 students, compared to Seton Hall which has nearly 10,000 in the same state.

A flurry of mistakes from both teams kept the game close as the teams combined for 53 foul calls.

Fortunately for Holloway, Seton Hall won the game 57-53 to start their season 1-0.

Holloway had an accomplished career as a player, but rose to national prominence with Saint Peter’s in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Despite the school’s size, the 15-seed Peacocks were able to make a run to the Elite Eight – becoming the first 15-seed to do so.

They beat second-seed Kentucky in the opening game, then beat seven-seed Murray State to reach the Sweet 16.

There, they knocked off three-seed Purdue before eventually falling in the Elite Eight to national runner-up North Carolina.
