College football star slammed for ‘disgusting’ hit on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders

College football fans were left enraged on Saturday after Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was targeted by a brutal hit against Kansas.

Deion Sanders’ team headed to Arrowhead Stadium this weekend to take on Kansas in a crucial Big 12 showdown.

The game saw Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter prove yet again why he is favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

But the Buffaloes fell to a 37-21 loss and their quarterback found himself on the end of a nasty hit after throwing the ball downfield, with fans branding it ‘disgusting’ and ‘beyond dirty’.

Kansas defensive end Dean Miller flew towards the knees of Sanders, appearing to hit the quarterback with his helmet.

Sanders was launched into the air before he crashed head-first into the turf. The quarterback immediately grabbed the area around his right knee.

Thankfully, Sanders escaped serious injury but fans were still outraged after Miller avoided any punishment for the hit.

The defensive end was not called for roughing the passer, despite many supporters  on social media believing he should be ejected from the game.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III was among those to slam Miller. ‘At any level of football this is a late and dirty hit on Shedeur Sanders. No place in the game for this,’ Griffin said on X.

‘This is absolutely disgusting,’ one fan said. ‘This  (is) beyond dirty actually he really tried to end his career,’ another added.

‘That’s disgusting, should’ve been kicked out of the game,’ a third said, while a fourth took aim at the officials. ‘Insane that they don’t throw a flag for this,’ the user said said.
