Former Collingwood coach turned commentator Nathan Buckley has slammed a footy fan who accused him of biased commentary during his old club’s match against Adelaide on Sunday.
The Magpies have reclaimed top spot on the ladder after coming from behind to beat the Crows by two points in an instant classic at the MCG.
After conceding seven unanswered goals in the third term – and trailing by 13 points at the final change – the Magpies overhauled their opponents to post a 12.10 (82) to 11.14 (80) triumph.
Buckley, who played 260 games with Collingwood and spent nine years coaching them, was singled out by a Crows fan for biased commentary during the match.
‘(Nathan Buckley) don’t commentate seriously you can’t be unbiased at all how is an ex coach and player aloud to be commentate on his ex team f**king bulls**t @FOXFOOTY,’ the fan wrote on Twitter.

Buckley not only saw the comments on social media, he also decided to reply.
‘Pull up mate. I call the game as I see it. Crows were great for a lot of the game and I love where they are going. If that didn’t come across, then open your other eye,’ he wrote.
Most fans applauded Buckley’s response – even Adelaide supporters.
‘Don’t stress Bucks. Probably the best commentary we have had all year as a crows fan. Keep up the good work,’ said one user.
‘Crows supporter here. Noticed no bias and a lot of praise. One of the better ones going around,’ replied another.
‘Thought you were great Bucks. You have been very vocal in your support of what the Crows are doing. Love your insights,’ commented a third.
On Monday morning, Buckley spoke further about the thrilling match and how impressed he is by the Crows.
‘I’m on the Adelaide bandwagon and I’m not just on it now, I’ve been on it for a while,’ Buckley told SEN Breakfast.

Buckley says he is a huge fan of the Crows and the brand of footy they are currently playing
‘I think what they’ve been building is excellent. I really would be excited if I’m an Adelaide supporter looking at the back-end of this year, let alone in the next four or five years.
‘Their coach Matty Nicks was very happy with what he saw.
‘In round seven they had 23 scoring shots to 19 against Collingwood and lost narrowly. On Sunday, they had 25 scoring shots to 22 and lost the game narrowly.
‘They’ve got a really young back six or seven and (Nick) Murray was injured and left the field at halftime.
‘They have so much to look forward to, that club.’
