An Australian weightlifting champion is asking the public to help find his bronze medal after it was allegedly stolen from his car.
Francois Etoundi, who won the medal during the Commonwealth Games, claims it was taken from his car while it was parked outside his Melbourne home on Thursday night.
Mr Etoundi told 9News he checked the back of the car and couldn’t see where he last put the medal.
‘It then flipped in my head,’ he said.

Mr Etoundi said he believes ‘no one is perfect’ and will forgive the person who took his medal once it’s returned.
‘I don’t need to see him.
‘He can come to my house and he can drop it there,’ Francois said.
Melbourne police are currently investigating the theft.
In April, Francois Etoundi won bronze at the Commonwealth Games, despite tearing his bicep while lifting a 305kg weight.
He came just behind Sathish Sivalingham, who won a gold medal after lifting 317kg.
