A train breakdown has caused chaos for commuters just before peak-hour on Wednesday morning.
The breakdown at Blacktown in Sydney’s west caused a number of cancellations, including the 5.50am Schofields to Central service.
Multiple delays were triggered by the breakdown, and the train is undergoing emergency repairs.

A 7.30 service to Central from Hornsby was also cancelled due to the early morning breakdown.
Mechanical repairs at Leppington caused the cancellation of the 06:44 Leppington to Blacktown service.
Delays were compounded by a series of truck breakdowns, all in Pennant Hills in the city’s north-west.
A total of three incidents, one past the M2, one near Marsden Rd and another at Westminster Avenue, are causing delays in the area.
