A contestant on SBS’ hit survival series Alone Australia shocked viewers this week when he revealed his favourite hobby was hunting wild animals.
Chace, 27, a Defence Force Combat Engineer shared a gallery of explicit photos in the episode.
In one picture he can be seen smiling and holding the antlers of a dead deer.
Another picture shows the bloody carcass of a deer after it was slaughtered.
During the episode he told viewers he hunted once a month and used weapons like knives, rifles and even a boomerang to take down animals.

This season the top-rating survival show is being filmed in New Zealand, which allows Chace to use a bow and arrow – a hunting tool which is strictly controlled back home in Australia.
‘I am absolutely stoked that I can use a bow on this season,’ Chace said.
‘I’ve literally been hunting my whole life. I go hunting at least once a month. It’s what I do for fun. If you miss you don’t eat … and I never miss.
‘I’ve hunted with rifles, bow and arrow, spears, boomerangs and even just a knife at times. I’m not out there being a killer … I’m out there being a hunter.’

It comes after Alone Australia became the break out reality hit of 2023.
This season contestants have been tasked with trying to endure the icy climes of New Zealand’s South Island.
In the 10-part documentary series fans can look forward to seeing ten survivalists learning to live off a land full of danger.

Each contestant has to get by on their wits as they face the wilderness alone and without any modern technology.
Filming their adventure alone and without help from the production, each survivor has the right to ‘tap out’ from the competition.
The last one standing walks out of the mountains with the top prize of $250,000.
During the episode, Chace said he was looking forward to hunting to survive
The survivalists joining Chace include personal trainer Andreas, 42, wild game hunter, Jack, 55; youth worker Jason, 36, and aquaculturalist Krzyasztof.
Also featured are Leanne, 41, from Victoria; Mike, 60, from NSW and former SAS soldier Rick, 59.
Completing the cast are Suzan, 54, a wilderness adventure guide from Victoria and ‘off-gridder’ Tamika, 51, a former police officer from QLD.

The first season of Alone Australia made headlines last year after it became the SBS network’s most watched original series ever.
Based on a U.S. format, the Aussie version, which was filmed in Tasmania, scored more than a million viewers for half of its 11 episodes.
The season finale saw Gina Chick crowned the series winner, after braving the elements to survive in the wilderness for 67 days
