Conor McGregor and an elderly man who he punched in the face in a Dublin pub got into a taxi after the dust-up for a chat, it has been claimed.

The ex-UFC champion was allegedly filmed on CCTV outside the Marble Arch pub on April 6 getting into the back of a taxi with a minder, while the man he was filmed hitting sat in the front seat.

McGregor and his companion spend several moments in the taxi before video shows them getting out and leaving the area, according to reports.

The existence of new footage was reported by The Sun, which said police have reviewed the tape as part of their assault investigation into McGregor.

A source told the paper: ‘Its anyone’s guess what was discussed in the taxi, perhaps McGregor was trying to apologise for the incident.

‘Gardai had to look into the meeting because it formed part of the overall investigation.’

However, it is understood that the meeting does not form part of the police file which has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

CCTV from inside the pub shows the moment McGregor strode up to the bar and offered the men sitting there shots of the whiskey brand he owns, before hitting one man who refused the drink.

A source has since told the Irish Mirror that the man told McGregor ‘I don’t want to drink that s****’ before the punch was thrown.

The shocking footage begins with the ex-UFC champion greeting pub goers, while the man can be seen at the bar drinking.

McGregor, holding a bottle of Proper No. Twelve – his own whisky label – serves out glasses in front of a few punters, including the man.

The man places the glass away on the ledge in front of him, as McGregor stares at the man before he forcefully returning the glass in front of him.

Moments later the ex-UFC champion appears to cheer with his hand up in the air, as the man can be seen saying something before turning away.

At that moment – the fighter launches in to punch the man before his entourage dramatically pull him away.
