Constance Hall goes on an epic public rant about husband Denim after they moved back in together: ‘Sick of it’

Constance Hall has complained about her husband’s lack of effort towards household chores after the pair moved back in together eight months ago.

The mother-of-six from Perth feels like she’s ‘treading water’ juggling taking care of the kids, helping with projects, cooking dinner and everything in between.

While her husband Denim Cooke asks how he can help, Constance claimed she always needs to tell him what to do and ‘micromanage’ his contributions.

‘For over seven years now I’ve been sick of hearing myself say the same thing, “I don’t want to have to tell you what to do. You are not my employee, I am not the manager of our home”,’ she wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.

‘”We run it together. Use your eyes and see what needs to be done. Remove some of the mental load that I am drowning in”.’

Controversial mummy blogger Constance Hall said she’s ‘not the CEO’ of her family and wish she didn’t need to tell her husband Denim Cooke how to help

‘He tells me, “I’ll do anything you want. Just tell me and I’ll do it” as he makes himself comfortable in amongst the tip that once resembled a lounge room,’ she continued.

‘Here is a fine example, Denz does the washing. So he washes and dries it, but sorting it is too hard because ‘I don’t know who’s is what’. Do you think I know? Most of them wear the same size, they steal each others or swap with each other. It’s a bitch of a job.’

She added that she’s ‘not the CEO’ of the family and Denim ‘isn’t an employee’ who can check off when his job is done.

‘An employee who gets paid f*** all will just leave a note saying, ‘Sorry didn’t know who owned what’ leaving the boss to problem solve that s***. And I’ll tell you what, I am so over problem solving,’ Constance said.

‘You do not get to do a shift and then clock off mentally with ‘just let me know if I can do anything else to help’.’

The honest rant resonated with hundreds of women who said they too are ‘sick and tired’ of telling their husbands what to do.

‘I write a list everyday and leave it sitting on the bench!’ one said.

‘Totally but honestly I really believe we are wired differently because no matter how much explaining I do and nagging they just don’t see it,’ another wrote.

A third added: ‘And they think it’s fair and magnanimous to say ‘just tell me what you want me to do!’ My answer is ‘I want you to think and not need to be told.’

Another woman said: ‘If I hear one more time ‘it’s just a man thing’ I’m going to scream! Isn’t growing actual humans, in our bodies enough for mankind? Why can’t the men be the one to do all the ‘domestic’ chores of life!? Grinds my gears.’
