A rustic cottage used as Aunt Ruth’s house on Doc Martin has gone up for sale for £395,000.
The cosy home, which will be instantly recognisable to avid fans of the ITV show, is called Homelands and sits in the historic fishing village of Port Issac in Cornwall.
In the medical comedy drama, the two-bedroom cottage is home to Martin Clunes’ on-screen Aunt Ruth, played by Dame Eileen Atkins, and is situated in the fictional village of Portwenn.
The property, which has wooden beamed ceilings and a stone fire place, has been used to film dozens of scenes on the popular show.
Doc Martin first aired in 2004 and is centred around Dr Martin Ellingham, a successful GP who develops a fear of blood.
He becomes the only GP in the sleepy village of Portwenn and is helped by his Aunt Ruth following the death of her sister, Aunt Joan.

The cobbled alleyways and whitewashed cottages which line the picturesque harbour of Port Isaac are reassuringly familiar to viewers of television drama Doc Martin
There are two bathrooms in the cottage. This is the more compact of the two, with a toilet in the corner next to a metal heater. On the right is what appears to be a washing machine
The other bedroom is painted blue and white and includes a bath. Although many locals are grateful for the money that Doc Martin brings to the town, others are frustrated by the huge number of tourists who come to recollect scenes from the programme
It is thanks to the enduring popularity of the ITV show, which is currently in its eighth series, that hordes of tourists now make their pilgrimage to the quaint Cornish village which stands in for Portwenn, queuing to have their pictures taken outside Dr Ellingham’s surgery.
