Together with their son Sean, who works for them, DM & C Ash Ltd did most of the building work and brought in an interior designer to pick the best fixtures, fittings and finishes for each home.

Mr Ash said: ‘We purchased Feldwicke three years ago, having identified the location as an exciting prospect we felt was truly unique.

‘The site is a former agricultural holding set within idyllic Sussex countryside.

‘The unique modern exterior gives the property a distinct Californian Condo feel, while remaining stylistically sympathetic to the surroundings.

‘We were keen to ensure the property possessed bespoke, individual character with a modern slant and I’m pleased to say that we have certainly achieved that goal with Feldwicke.
