Country star is forced to perform shirtless after being ferociously booed by fans over his choice of outfit

Country star Bailey Zimmerman was forced to perform shirtless after he was ferociously booed by fans over his outfit.

The awkward moment occurred after the musician, 24, hit the stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, over the weekend while wearing a Las Vegas Raiders jersey.

The crowd was furious with his choice of shirt, despite the concert taking place at Allegiant Stadium, where the football team plays.

Bailey, who was opening up for Morgan Wallen, was belting his hit song Fix’n To Break, when suddenly the audience erupted in a chorus of boos.

Confused, the singer stopped and looked around nervously, before quickly realizing that the displeasure stemmed from his ensemble.

He then pointed to his shirt and held up a thumbs down signal, which sparked an even louder reaction from the crowd.

But Bailey handled it like a pro, and instead of getting upset by the heckling, he decided to take the shirt off mid-performance and finish the set shirtless.

‘You guys want me to take it off or what?’ he asked the fans, who all started cheering loudly in response to his question.

He then pulled the top off – and the crowd gave their seal of approval, bursting into a loud applause.

Afterwards, Bailey reposted a clip of the hilarious incident on his Instagram account.

‘Did you really get booed playing the Raiders stadium and then take your shirt off?’ he wrote alongside a video that showed him nodding and jokingly covering his face in embarrassment.

‘I know y’all just wanted me to take my shirt off,’ he added in the caption.

Immediately, people flocked to the comment section to praise him for how he handled it.

‘You’re the man for continuing on, that ain’t easy,’ one person wrote.

‘Brother, you are a f**king legend for this. This is straight up class. As humble as it gets,’ gushed someone else.

Another user added, ‘You handled that like such a pro, and so humbly. Just giving the fans what they wanted and letting it roll off your back. Way to go.’

‘You handled it so well. We definitely weren’t booing you, just the shirt,’ a different viewer insisted.

‘The Raiders are very new to Vegas and not really the locals team. Next time in Vegas wear a Vegas Golden Knights hockey jersey and the crowd will go wild.

This isn't the first time Bailey has performed shirtless, however, it is the first time he was forced to strip down on stage due to an outfit (seen in April)

‘You absolutely killed it though. Your voice in concert is incredible and I was so stoked to see you live.’

‘He’s a champ for not thinking that’s disrespectful as hell,’ someone else praised.

‘Legend,’ simply read a seventh comment and another said, ‘This makes me sad actually.

‘No one should be treated like that especially over what they wear. I’d be so embarrassed, good for you.’
