A father-to-be created a touching pregnancy video documenting the size of his growing baby by comparing it to different foods.
Danny Bortfeld, an actor from Berlin, took a photo nearly every week of his fiancee Marlen Lalo’s pregnancy before they welcomed daughter Luna in April 2017.
The excited couple used seeds, fruits and vegetables to serve as visual comparisons for the size of their unborn child.
They then compiled the sweet snaps into a touching slideshow entitled ‘When love becomes life’, which went viral after it was shared on the official Netmums account last week.

Just 5 weeks after conception, the baby is roughly the size of a sesame seed, or similar
At six weeks, the baby has grown slightly and is roughly the size of a grain of rice, pictured
The couple donned all blue outfits to mark their child being the same size as a blueberry
At eight weeks their baby had already grown to the size of a raspberry, as shown by Danny
Two weeks later, the baby is the size of a date and Marlen shows the tiniest hint of a bump
Entering the second trimester, the baby has now grown to the size of a kiwi
Week 14 and Danny appears very excited to learn his baby is now the size of a nectarine
Week 15 their baby had grown as large as a pear, with Danny sporting a pout to match
With Marlen’s bump beginning to show, the baby is the size of an avocado by week 16
In week 17 their little one had already grown to the size of a large orange
Danny claims the baby is the size of a dragon fruit, although this is larger than most estimates
In week 19 Marlen’s growing stomach held a baby the same size as a grapefruit
A mango was used to compare the size of their foetus in week 20 of the pregnancy
Week 23 had the couple feeling cheeky, they used an aubergine to document the baby’s size
Entering the third and final trimester, the baby is now roughly the size of a butternut squash
With just a few weeks to go before the due date, the baby is now like a casaba melon
The final week 40 showed an excited Danny comparing a sizable watermelon to heavily pregnant Marlen’s stomach
