Shock Covid case is found in Queensland after INFECTED couple fled locked down Melbourne for a sunny holiday – and also spent time in regional NSW

A shock Covid-19 case has been detected in Queensland after a couple travelled from locked down Victoria, one infected with coronavirus. 

They are understood to have spent time in regional NSW before going onto the Sunshine Coast.

They are believed to have left Melbourne before the current lockdown was imposed. 

Queensland currently classifies Victoria as a Covid-19 hotspot, and anyone entering the state must complete hotel quarantine.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath and Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young are holding a press conference at 3:30pm.
