Cow&Gate urgently recalls baby food from Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda amid fears it may contain bits of RUBBER

Parents are being warned not to feed their babies a Cow&Gate product today amid fears it contains pieces of rubber. 

The company has today issued a recall notice for its Cheesy Broccoli Bake Stage 3 for babies aged 10 months and older, after fragments of a thin blue rubber glove were found in some jars.

The 250g jars are on sale at supermarkets across the UK, including Asda, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Tesco.

One batch of the baby food is affected. 

Customers are being told to take back jars they’ve bought with the batch code, 28122020.

Anyone who has purchased a jar is being asked to return it to the store, with a receipt, to get a refund.

A product recall notice issued by Cow & Gate said: ‘We are sorry that these jars do not meet our usual high quality standards and for any inconvenience this recall may cause.

‘These jars do not pose a health risk, but we are recalling them as they do not meet our usual high quality standards.’
