Who let the dog out? Crafty canine makes a daring escape by squirming through a tiny hole in a Brazilian fence

  • The owner was baffled at how the dog kept managing to escape from the garden
  • It manages to wriggle itself through a tiny hole in the grate in Londrina, Brazil
  • The pooch uses its hind legs to push while furiously shimmying its body through

This is the extraordinary moment a crafty canine escapes its pen by squeezing through a seemingly insurmountably small hole.

For some time, the pet owner had been baffled by the supposed vanishing act after constantly locking the dog in the grounds of the house only to then find the pooch wandering the streets of Londrina, Brazil.

So they decided to set up their camera to watch the animal’s disappearance, and were left gobsmacked at how it managed to wriggle and squirm itself free in less than a minute.

The pooch worms itself through a seemingly insurmountably small hole to escape on to the streets of Londrina, Brazil

The short clip filmed from a window ledge in February shows the front patio of the house, which is cut off from the road by high brick walls and a sliding metal grate.

In the far left corner, the small white and brown dog is seen pawing at the wall and grate.

It seems to be craning its neck up at a tiny gap in the grate, used to fix a padlock to secure the lock-up.

Suddenly, the canine leaps up towards the gap and latches itself on to the horizontal metal bars with its paws.

But, unable to maintain its grip, it jumps back down on to the floor before making a second attempt.

Instead of jumping, this time it climbs up the metal bars and pokes its snout through the hole, followed by its whole head.

Using its hind legs to push, the canine then tries to worm its entire body through the whole, shimmying its torso to try to squeeze through.

Yet even for the petite pooch it seems impossibly small and the dog gets stuck halfway.

Not giving up, the writhes furiously to wriggle its way through the gap, while pushing against the wall with its legs to force its body through.

Eventually, the dog frees itself from the tight gap and bounds down on to the street below, before quickly scampering off.
