Craig David ‘signs up to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s new ITV musical game show Walk The Line with Maya Jama set to host’
Craig David has reportedly signed up to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s upcoming musical game show Walk The Line.
The singer, 40, will make his major TV debut on the series when it debuts later this year alongside a third judge who has yet to be named, with Maya Jama said to be serving as presenter.
According to The Sun, Craig is seen as a massive coup by producers who are hoping the show will be an instant hit.

A source said: ‘Craig David is an icon of the British music industry – but he’s also as relevant today as he was when he burst on the scene back at the beginning of the Noughties.
‘He’s appeared on Simon’s shows before – and he’s widely respected – so it would make perfect sense for him to be involved in Simon’s new show.
‘It’s an exciting move and adds real credibility to the panel. You can always rely on Simon to keep it fresh and get everyone talking.’
The winner of the series will reportedly win a massive cash prize of £500,000.

Craig was previously asked about potentially becoming a judge on the show and admitted it would definitely be something he would consider.
He told The Sun: ‘If Simon came to me with that position, I would definitely think about it.
‘I think I could mentor people in a good way and bring something new that hasn’t been seen before.’
‘I’ve been in the industry for almost 20 years. I’ve had highs and lows and really believe I could offer some great advice.’

The series will be Simon’s newest venture since The X Factor was reportedly axed earlier this year after 17 years on air.
It was reported that Simon pulled the plug on the ITV talent show – which launched in 2004 and last aired in 2018 – because he doesn’t want the programme to ‘become a bit of a joke.’
