Former Australian cricket coach Darren Lehmann’s Twitter has been hacked after anti-Iranian activists flooded his feed with bizarre pro-Trump messages. 

A series of expletive-ridden posts appeared on Lehmann’s account on Monday night as he led the Brisbane Heat in a match against the Sydney Thunder in Blacktown. 

‘I fully support [Donald Trump]. F**k Iran,’ one tweet read, followed by, ‘I love you @VP @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump, f**k IRAN.’

‘Rest in piss Qassem Soleimani,’ said another. 

The 49-year-old coach’s profile photo had been changed and his Twitter bio was edited to say, ‘If you f**k wit Iran, I can’t f**k witchu’.

Many of Lehmann’s 341,000-plus followers were quick to realise his account had been compromised. 

‘You might want to get the coach to change his password,’ one follower replied.

‘Someone’s hacked, or too much Bundy rum,’ another joked.

The Brisbane Heat confirmed their coach’s account had been hacked in a tweet to fans on Monday night.  

‘We are aware our coach Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account has been hacked and are working closely with Twitter to rectify the situation. We apologise for any offence caused this evening,’ the tweet said.

The account appeared to have been restored shortly after and remains active.   

Lehmann served as the head coach of the Australian national team from 2013 until he resigned in 2018.

He made the decision to step down following allegations of ball tampering during the third Test against South Africa in March that year.
