Three bedrooms, sleek decor and sweeping views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge: Cricketer Steve Smith puts his luxurious Balmain townhouse up for rent for $2000 a week
Former Australian cricket captain Steve Smith has placed one of his luxury Sydney properties up for rent.
The stunning townhouse – based in the affluent inner-city suburb of Balmain – is now on the market for $2000 per week, according to realestate.com.au.
It’s $250 a week less than what Steve was asking for in 2018, but $10 more from it’s previous asking price last year.

The three-bedroom and bathroom house on Johnson Street was bought for $2million in 2015, and has been completely rebuilt by architects to emphasise its best features.
The 30-year-old’s glossy home features sleek black and beige decor, with an open plan kitchen and dining area.
Huge sliding glass doors allow plenty of natural light to pour through the lounge, with laminated wooden flooring visible throughout the property.

Perhaps the most stunning feature of the home is the sweeping views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which is visible from nearly every room in the house.
This luxurious home is one of many in Steve’s property collection.
He and his wife Dani Willis live at their beach side abode in Coogee, which they snapped up in 2011.
They also own properties in Marrickville, Sans Souci and Birchgrove.

Steve hit headlines in 2018, after he was involved in the ball-tampering scandal that shocked the nation.
The batsman – along with teammates Cameron Bancroft and David Warner – were punished with temporary bans for their involvement in the scandal in South Africa, and faced contempt and mockery from fans around the world.
Smith, who admitted he almost threw in the towel following the scandal, returned to the pitch for his first international match recently since serving his 12 month-ban.
His return saw him labelled the world’s best batsman during an Ashes Test in England last year.
