Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel kick off their tour of Australia

Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel appeared in great spirits as they kicked off their tour of Australia.

The royal couple began their official visit to the country on Monday with trips to the Swedish Embassy in Canberra, the National Museum of Australia and a koala rehabilitation centre in Namadgi National Park.

Mother-of-two Victoria, 45, was the picture of elegance in a smart white dress and blazer during her visits to the embassy and museum, which she teamed with matching heels and a clutch bag.

Her husband, Daniel, 49, looked dashing, meanwhile, in a navy suit and coordinating tie, paired with a crisp white shirt for the engagements.

The couple swapped to more casual ensembles when visiting the koala rehabilitation centre; Victoria opted for a shirt and trouser combo with a straw hat, while Daniel donned a statement green jacket.

Looking perfectly poised, the princess’ first ensemble consisted of a white midi dress with a cinched waist, a matching long-sleeved blazer and heels, as well as a dainty clutch.

Adding plenty of glitz to her glamorous outfit, Victoria donned a chunky gold chain and matching hoop earrings.

The mother-of-two – who is heir to the Swedish throne – finished her look with a pop of colour, sporting bright red nail varnish.

She swapped her smart attire for a more low-key look when visiting the koala rehabilitation centre; Victoria sported a white shirt, with cream trousers and stylish trainers.

The royal finished off the look with a straw hat, cream handbag and a brown belt. Keeping her look simple, she donned a silver watch and matching bracelets.

Victoria, accompanied by her husband Daniel, will spend three days in Canberra and Sydney from Monday.

The royal couple’s official tour aims to ‘deepen bilateral relations’, the Embassy of Sweden said in a statement.

Their program includes defence and trade meetings, attending summits on electrification and ‘sustainable mining’, plus visits to the National Museum of Australia and Sydney Opera House.

Official dinners and receptions will be hosted by Governor-General David Hurley in Canberra and Sydney, with the royal couple also due to visit St Vincent’s Hospital and meet with members of the Matildas soccer team and their Swedish coach Tony Gustafsson.

Following their time in Australia, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will spend three days in New Zealand.
