Cruel twist for Uber Eats delivery worker who was filmed in Paddington street making a delivery by horseback

The urban cowboy Uber Eats ‘driver’ who delivered an order on horseback has reportedly been scratched by the company.

Earlier this week a video of Stanley Chen riding a horse through the streets of Paddington in Sydney’s inner-east went viral.

In what has turned into a ‘night-mare’ for Mr Chen, he claims he has been temporarily banned by Uber.

In the TikTok he shared on Thursday, Mr Chen exclaims, ‘Look at what just happened, I got banned! I got banned! I can’t believe this.’

Mr Chen shared the message he received from Uber where the company told him they had ‘concerning feedback’ from a customer.

Uber also told Mr Chen that ‘you may have been delivering orders on animal (sic).’

Mr Chen jokingly refuted this statement by saying his horse ‘Leilani is not an animal, she is a queen!’ I can’t believe you banned her!’

On Wednesday TikTokker @jessielouiset shared the original short clip of Mr Chen riding his horse through the streets of Paddington. It has now had millions of views.

Pedestrians stopped to take videos and looked bemused and delighted to see the horse gently loping down the busy shopping strip.

Mr Chen has urged his supporters to get in touch with Uber to reverse his and Leilani’s ban.

‘If you want to see me and Leilani do more Uber delivery orders, go message and tell them to unban me,’ he said.

Mr Chen and his new social media fans will be hoping Uber gets off its high horse and reverses its decision.

Uber Eats has been approached for comment.
