Crushed mate of teenager stabbed in Surfers paradise brawl makes emotional appeal to local youths to ‘stop acting like gangsters’

A fed up teenager whose friend was stabbed in a brawl at Surfers Paradise has made a heartfelt appeal to youths who ‘act like gangsters’ 

Jack Beasley, 17, was allegedly stabbed in the chest in an altercation with a group of teenagers in Surfers Paradise on Friday night.

He passed away in the street before police arrested and charged a boy, 15, with murder on Saturday.

Jacob Garner took to Facebook in an emotional appeal for change, as another teen is killed following a brawl in surfers paradise.

Now, his friend Jacob Garner has pleaded with locals to stop the violence and drugs. 

In a Facebook post he said: ‘What is the Gold Coast becoming? Every weekend now you hear of a kid getting bash or a kid getting rolled, everyone thinks you need drugs to have fun at parties. 

‘Kids can’t even go out without having kids show up to party’s just to try start a fight.

‘Just because you bash a kid with all your ‘boys’ doesn’t make you tough, makes you even more of a drop kick and d***head’.  

He ended the post pleading with youngsters to ‘stand up and help’ if they see any of their mates getting bashed before condemning the actions of violent youths. 

It read: ‘Stop acting like gangsters because I guarantee if you kill someone doing it you won’t think your so gangster in jail.’

His post has been shared over 300 times, with many commenting praising Jacob for speaking up.
