Crystal Palace still negotiating a fee for Man United’s Dean Henderson, with the Red Devils set to bring in Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce as his replacement

Crystal Palace are still negotiating a fee with Manchester United for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayindir has been lined up to take Henderson’s place.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Forest and was expected to rejoin following Andre Onana’s arrival at Old Trafford.

Forest held discussions with United over a loan move for Henderson with an obligation to make his move permanent at the end of the season.

A compromise has yet to be reached over the terms of the deal and Forest have also bolstered their goalkeeping ranks by signing Matt Turner from Arsenal, who has started their first two games of the season.

He would provide competition for Sam Johnstone, who has conceded just one goal so far this season

Palace are in the market for a new goalkeeper with Vicente Guaita wanting to leave Selhurst Park.

Sam Johnstone has been installed as Palace’s No.1 and a successful move for Henderson would set up a battle between the two England goalkeepers.

Gareth Southgate made a personal check on Johnstone this week after he conceded just one goal in the opening two games of the season.

United have young back-up keeper Radek Vitek fit again. The 20-year-old played in a United XI that lost 3-0 to Burnley in a friendly on Wednesday.

Granada target Alvaro Fernandez and Facundo Pellistri, who is wanted on loan by Sheffield United, also played.
