A strict dad has sent hundreds into hysterics with the hilarious note he left his kids to bribe them into tidying their rooms.
The father pinned a note to his kid’s door saying the Wi-Fi password would be unlocked for them once they send photos of their clean bedrooms.
The note, posted to popular parenting Facebook page Mum Central, also said their Xbox controllers have been hidden and a clue to their location will be revealed once the bathroom and toilet have been cleaned.
A dad has sent hundreds into hysterics after sharing the ‘brilliant’ note he uses to bride his kids into tidying their bedrooms and cleaning the bathroom
‘Let’s play a game,’ the note read with an image of the character Jigsaw who uses the phrase in the Saw horror movie franchise.
‘Today’s Wi-Fi password can be unlocked by texting or emailing me two pictures of a tidy bedroom.’
He stipulated the picture must contain their ‘used’ wash baskets that are ‘not placed in the corner of your room like an alien object that you think will burn if touched’.
The cheeky dad also hid the kids’ Xbox controllers and said he would reveal a ‘secret’ to their location once he sees a clean bathroom and toilet.
‘May luck be on your side. Love, Dad x,’ the note concluded.
The children won’t get the Wi-Fi password until they send pictures of their tidy bedrooms and will get a clue to the whereabouts of their Xbox controllers once they clean the bathroom
Hundreds of parents thought the tactic was ‘brilliant’ but some pointed out some obvious flaws with the dad’s plan.
‘How can they email you the pictures if there is no Wi-Fi?!’ they asked.
‘Doesn’t help when they have unlimited data,’ another added.
Others were keen to use the note on their own kids while some joked they would do the same for lazy husbands and partners.
‘Get me one printed off,’ one mum said and another replied: ‘That’s clever!! Kudos to dad!’.
‘I’m saving this for when the kids are older,’ a third said.
‘This might work on our husbands, never mind children,’ a fourth laughed.
