DailyMailTV host Jesse Palmer is getting married!
The former NFL quarterback and Bachelor star whisked away his model girlfriend Emely Fardo for a surprise trip to France last week, revisiting the destination where they took their first romantic vacation two years ago.
The 40-year-old planned an idyllic getaway to Paris and Champagne, even secretly hiring Emely’s favorite wedding photographer to capture the moment when he asked her to marry him, presenting her with a stunning 3.5 carat diamond ring.
Speaking of his excitement, Palmer told DailyMail.com: ‘I’ve been so enamored, so in love with this woman and it only has grown. I’m head over heels for her.’

The happy couple met by chance while taking a group boxing class together at Rumble in New York City two years ago.
Palmer said: ‘I saw her and thought she was beautiful. I didn’t meet her until later, she was coming in while I was leaving.
‘We ended up connecting and our first date was at Rumble two weeks later.’
Palmer said the first romantic vacation they took as a couple was in Champagne, adding he knew that if things continued well with Emely, this was the place he would propose.
He said: ‘I decided to propose somewhere meaningful, a place that was familiar to us. I decided this was the place.’
In February, Palmer said he began ring shopping, saying: ‘I was trying to find the right one she would like. I wanted to get the ring shape, setting and band right.’
Palmer decided on a 3.5 carat oval shaped diamond ring with .42 carats of smaller diamonds lining the platinum engagement band.
He added: ‘She said I knocked it out of the park.’

With the proposal site set and the ring picked out, Palmer’s next step was keeping the engagement a surprise.
He said: ‘We had a week off of work so I booked tickets to Montreal and let her think we were staying 10 days at my home there.
‘On Monday morning I surprised her and said ”pack your bags, we’re going to the airport.”
‘When we got to the terminal, she realized we were going to Paris.
‘We stayed in Paris on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, I surprised her again and booked a car to take us to Champagne.
‘There was lots of moving parts but I had it all planed in my mind.
‘There’s a wedding photographer in Paris that she loves, so I arranged for him to be there at the property.
‘There’s this patio that’s absolutely gorgeous around sunset, so that’s when I would pop the question.’
Palmer said ever since meeting Emely, who was born in Curitiba, Brazil, he has been taking Portuguese lessons with a private teacher. During his proposal, he said half of his speech in Portuguese, adding he ‘finally put those lessons to good use’

Palmer said he became nervous before the proposal, with Emely later telling him she picked up on his nerves because his hands were cold and he was stuttering while they were talking.
But still, Palmer said, everything ‘turned out magically.’
Palmer said there was never an ‘aha’ moment that he knew Emely was the one, but ‘over the course of time, I had that feeling.’
He added: ‘She has taught me, cares for me like no one else. She has made me be the best version of myself.
‘She loves me unconditionally. I’m head over heels for her.’

Palmer said the next step is wedding planning, but they will take their time, adding: ‘We have some ideas, but nothing concrete. We’ve only told our families and close friends, so we are excited to share the news with everyone and then start planning’

Accepting the award, Palmer said: ‘Our show is now two years old, the show is very successful despite the host.
‘I really came here tonight, all I cared about was Game of Thrones tonight. But now I don’t care, see you at the after party!’
