Daisy Ridley looks chic for promo trail of Star Wars film

She recently spoke out about how she doubted her abilities to reprise her role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

But Daisy Ridley looked every inch the Hollywood starlet as she stepped out for dinner in London on Wednesday.

Dressed in a tailored black coat, the 25-year-old actress was joined by co-star Benicio del Toro as they enjoyed some downtime during promoting the release of the new film.

Despite her confident appearance, Daisy told ITV’s Lorraine on Wednesday she doubted her ability to step into the role of Rey once again due to the success of the last film.

‘I didn’t feel as comfortable going into it because the first one had just come out and it was nuts,’ she said.

‘I was like, “Ah I don’t know how to do this again!” Like I don’t know what I did first time round.

‘But I think that by the end of it, I was like now I have a sense of her, which was great. Right at the end of it.’

She also spoke of her late co-star Carrie Fisher, who died nearly a year ago having completed shooting for the eighth movie in the franchise as Princess Leia.

‘It’s sort of odd that some of those scenes, the things that are said, it seems weirdly true, it’s very emotional,’ the actress mused.

‘[Carrie] is amazing in it and I think it’s a testament to her.’

She also talked about her work with Mark Hamill, who portrayed Luke Skywalker in the 1977 original, it’s two sequels and 2015’s The Force Awakens.

‘It was fun to do because Mark and I were getting to know each other as we were filming it so there was a sense of – I think we did it pretty chronologically – so there was a sense of our relationship building as the characters were, which was wonderful.

‘It was comforting to do it that way.’
