Daley Blind is set to make a return to first team football for Ajax after missing two months of action due to a heart condition.
The Dutchman has missed the last two months of football after being diagnosed with heart muscle inflammation after reporting feelings of dizziness during Ajax’s Champions League clash with Valencia back in December.
The former Manchester United defender was medically examined following the game and the unusual problem was found, raising red flags for the club’s medical staff.

Blind was fitted with a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator. The device sends electrical pulses to regulate abnormal heart rhythms, specifically those that can be dangerous and cause a cardiac arrest.
It has allowed Blind to return to the pitch sooner than originally anticipated, with the 29-year-old likely to face Utrecht in the Eredivisie this weekend, having trained with his team-mates this week.

Ajax posted a video on social media on Friday with the captain ‘We’ve missed you, @BlindDaley’, with a video of the defender.
Blind has been sorely missed by manager Erik ten Hag, having played in 25 games in all competitions before his diagnosis. While the Dutch side have dropped out of the Champions League, there are still hopes they can compete strongly in the Europa League this season.
Meanwhile, Ajax are three points ahead of Feyenoord in the Eredivisie and have a date with Vitesse in the quarter final of the KNVB cup this month.
