Dame Joan Collins, 90, reveals her secret to recovering from a dreaded hangover… and it’s pretty simple

Dame Joan Collins has revealed her secret hangover cure.

The 90-year-old icon, who still loves to enjoy a glass or two, claims her two-step routine is the key to recovering from a dreaded hangover.

The Dystany star makes sure she drinks tons of water during and after a night of drinking to prevent a sore head in the morning, as well as having a full day in bed.

After decades of partying and socialising, Joan is for sure the one to trust when it comes to knowing a thing or two about hangovers.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘How do I cure a hangover? Tons and tons of water and stay in bed as long as possible!

‘I only drink socially and I have glasses of water in between — that’s my secret.’

Joan recently attended Vanity Fair’s annual Oscars party at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills earlier this month.

She showed off her age-defying looks in a draped green sequinned gown for the event, with matching emerald jewellery and a clutch.

While Percy put on a sharp display in a black tuxedo and coordinating bow tie as they cosied up on the red carpet.

Percy, who is 31 years Joan’s junior, is Joan’s fifth husband, with the pair tying the knot at London’s Claridge’s in February 2002.

The American Horror Story star was previously married to Maxwell Reed, Anthony Newley, Ron Kass and Peter Holm.

Originally from Peru, Percy is a noted Hollywood producer, known primarily for producing Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

The pair hit it off right away and when a last minute change of plans saved Percy from being near the World Trade Center on 9/11, they decided to marry.

Gushing about her husband, Joan told Saga magazine: ‘He takes care of everything. He takes care of my children and all our finances. He’s the love of my life. It’s a great marriage, a great relationship.’

Joan, who calls Percy ‘the best lover I ever had’ in her book Behind The Shoulder Pads, recalled how their relationship was platonic at first.

She explained: ‘Percy and I became really good friends first. So we had this connection. We really knew each other.

‘And separate bathrooms is key! Although we are very lucky. I know that’s not something everyone can have.’
