Dame Judi Dench raps to grime music with Lethal Bizzle

It’s a collaboration you never expected, but world renowned thespian Dame Judi Dench has tried her hand at rapping with top London MC Lethal Bizzle.

The pair have long-been connected by the word Dench, which is coined by the rapper as slang for ‘nice’ or ‘brilliant’ – even launching a clothing line branded ‘Stay Dench’.

But they had never met – until now.

In an unlikely collaboration Dame Judi Dench and MC Lethal Bizzle have collaborated in a new video which sees the pair rap together

In exclusive footage from LADbible, the 82-year-old national treasure is seen donning a white Stay Dench cap before spitting some rhymes with the grime artist.

Rifling through a box of branded snap back caps, Dench, who plays M in James Bond says: ‘Oh I say! Look at this – can I wear it?’

Choosing a white cap with black lettering, she added: ‘This is an excellent size.’

The classically trained Skyfall star is quick to adjust as Lethal Bizzle, from Walthamstow, East London, teaches her the words.

Ever the professional, she seemed keen fully understand the first set of lyrics ‘anywhere I go gang rolling’, asking: ‘But what does that mean?’

But she appeared to grow in confidence after the 32-year-old rapper explained: ‘That means anywhere I go my friends are coming with me.’

Performing exclusively with the rapper, Dame Judi rapped parts of Lethal Bizzle’s ‘Celebrate’ before taking on his hit single ‘Pow’.

After an unsure start, the seven-time Oscar nominee came in to her own when she tackled some specially adapted lyrics to Pow.

Lethal Bizzle taught her the remixed version: ‘Pow, yeah I’m Ju-to-the-di

‘Pow, if you don’t know about me

‘Better ask someone quickly.’

Laughing with her teacher, she exclaimed: ‘I love it!’
